Student contribution amount calculator for 2010

How to calculate your student contribution amount:

  1. Enter your units’ credit points in the correspondence SCA Band and discipline group.
  2. Click on Calculate button
  3. The total Credit Point, EFTSL and student contribution amount will be displayed on the screen. Refer to your commencement year of study to ascertain the correct student contribution amount.

A standard full time year of study is equivalent to 48 credit points or 1 EFTSL

Example:

  1. Emma commences a Bachelor of Education in 2010; where she enrols in one education unit and one economics unit. Her student contribution amount (SCA) for 2010 is calculated as follows:

    (1 x 0.125 = 0.125 x $5,310 = $663) + (1 x 0.125 = 0.125 x $8,859 = $1,107) = $1,770

  2. John commenced a Bachelor of Education in 2009; this year he enrols one education unit and one economics unit. His student contribution amount (SCA) for 2010 is calculated as follows:

    (1 x 0.125 = 0.125 x $4,249 = $531) + (1 x 0.125 = 0.125 x $8,859 = $1,107) = $1,638
